This film follows the remarkable true story of the genius of Francis Ouimet, as he bids to become the first amateur champion in professional golf history.
Set in 1913 it is a tale of a young man born and raised in the very same location that the US open is held in that year.
Assisted by his ten year old caddie Eddie Lowery, we watch Ouimet battle against social convention and his own fathers beliefs in an attempt to shatter the status quo in Golf.
Being familiar with the course that he has played so many times growing up as a Golf fanatic he eventually finds himself pitted against two true iconic figures of the sport in Harry Vardon and Ted Ray who were dominating the game at that moment in time.
What follows is a tale of unwavering self belief as the cinematic treatment of each breathtaking round serves as a real treat as Ouimet fights to achieve his dreams.
The conclusion of the film itself serves us with a true heartwarming ending as Ouimet proves his undeniable heart to not only to his family, but also to himself.
